Privacy Policy

This page explains what information this website collects, how it's used, and your choices. It covers coastalcurrentnc.com only; it does not cover the marine electrical services performed aboard your vessel, which are agreed to separately when work is scheduled.

Information We Collect

When you submit the Request Service form on this site, we ask for your name, phone number, email address, and a description of the work you need. The form also includes optional fields for your marina or location and your vessel's make and model.

This site does not automatically collect analytics, advertising, or tracking data. We don't use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or similar tracking technologies.

How Your Information Is Used

Information submitted through the contact form is used only to respond to your inquiry, provide a quote, and schedule or perform the marine electrical service you requested. We don't use it for unrelated marketing, and we don't sell or rent it to third parties.

How Form Submissions Are Sent

When you submit the Request Service form, your information is sent to GoHighLevel, a customer relationship management platform that creates a contact record for your request and lets Coastal Current respond, schedule, and follow up. GoHighLevel is operated for Coastal Current by its web provider, Mancini Business Solutions, and processes this information on Coastal Current's behalf; it isn't shared with anyone else. If that connection is ever unavailable when you submit the form, your device's own email application opens instead, pre-filled with your message, so your request still reaches our business inbox (coastalcurrent252@gmail.com) as a backup.

Text Messages

The Request Service form includes an optional, unchecked checkbox asking whether Coastal Current may text you about your specific request, such as confirming details or scheduling. Checking it is entirely your choice and is never required to submit the form or receive service. If you check it, Coastal Current's owner may text you directly from his own phone; these texts aren't sent through GoHighLevel or any other messaging platform. Message frequency varies depending on your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help. We don't share or sell your phone number or texting opt-in information with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies & Tracking

This website does not set cookies of its own and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes in the future, for example if analytics or tracking tools are added, we'll update this policy to describe them before they go live.

Third-Party Services

A few pages on this site load resources from third-party providers, which may involve requests to those providers' own servers:

  • Google Fonts, loads the typefaces used on this site directly from Google's servers.
  • Leaflet / OpenStreetMap, powers the interactive service-area map on our Service Areas pages. The map software is loaded from Cloudflare's public cdnjs network and the map imagery comes from OpenStreetMap, so both receive a request from your browser when you open those pages.
  • Google Maps, an embedded map on each Service Areas page, loaded directly from Google.
  • Netlify, hosts this website and keeps standard server logs, which include visitor IP addresses, for security and reliability.
  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector), receives and stores the information you submit through the Request Service form, as described above.

Google Fonts, Leaflet/OpenStreetMap, and the Google Maps embed load design and map resources when a page displays; they don't receive the information you submit through our form. GoHighLevel does receive that information, as its role in the list above describes.

Data Retention & Your Choices

We keep the information submitted through the Request Service form for as long as needed to respond to your request, provide services, and meet our legal and tax obligations. You can contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to opt out of future texts or emails, or to request that we delete your information.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website or practices change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision, and we encourage you to check back periodically.
